Data Engineer – Spatial & GIS Data Infrastructure
Who We Are
Cities are living systems - and trees are some of their most valuable assets. At greehill, we’re building the world’s most detailed digital twins of urban forests, mapping every individual tree in a city in 2D, 3D, and beyond.
By combining cutting-edge laser scanning, AI, and machine learning, we give cities the insights they need to maintain, protect, and grow their green infrastructure. The result? Smarter operations, healthier citizens, and cities that are more resilient to climate change.
We’re helping redefine what “smart cities” really means - and we’re doing it globally, with teams in Budapest (HQ & R&D), Singapore, Hannover, San Diego or Paris.
We’re looking for a Data Engineer with a passion for large, complex spatial and GIS datasets. You will design, build, and maintain data pipelines that ingest, transform, and serve 2D/3D urban and LIDAR data to internal products and analytical systems.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be a core contributor to the engine behind our platform, working on systems that process massive, complex datasets and turn them into real-world impact.
Data pipeline architecture for spatial data
ETL/ELT workflows
Integration with geospatial databases
Ensuring data quality, performance, and lineage
What We’re Looking For
Strong Python skills + experience with Airflow pipeliens
Geospatial tools (PostGIS, QGIS)
Cloud data services (Blob Storage, Keyvault)
