Cities are living systems - and trees are some of their most valuable assets. At greehill, we’re building the world’s most detailed digital twins of urban forests, mapping every individual tree in a city in 2D, 3D, and beyond.

We’re helping redefine what “smart cities” really means - and we’re doing it globally, with teams in Budapest (HQ & R&D), Singapore, Hannover, San Diego or Paris.

We are ooking for a senior Python engineer focused on building scalable, high-performance backend systems and APIs that power processing of large spatial and urban datasets. You’ll lead backend architecture, code optimization and reliability for city-scale data workflows, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust services.

What You’ll Do

• Scalable backend design & implementation in Python (FastAPI, SQLAlchemy)

• API development and optimization

• System performance profiling & tuning

• Ensure reliability and maintainability in production

What We’re Looking For

• Deep Python expertise and large-scale system design

• Familiarity with cloud and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Strong algorithmic skills
