Logistics and Technical Purchasing Coordinator

Reports to: CFO
We are looking for an Logistics and Technical Purchasing Coordinator who manages all aspects of logistics, the procurement and inventory of high-value technological equipment. This includes organizing and executing international shipments (often under ATA Carnet), ensuring the timely supply of essential spare parts and components, and supporting research and development (R&D) initiatives related to technical purchasing. The role demands a proactive approach to supply chain coordination, meticulous attention to detail, and effective stakeholder communication to ensure smooth operations and minimal downtime.

What you'll be doing
1. Logistics & Shipment Management
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee the shipment of high-value technical LIDAR equipment in compliance with international shipping regulations.
- Work with freight forwarders and handle all aspects of ATA Carnet documentation, customs clearance, and transport insurance.
- Track shipments, resolve delays, and maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders and external logistics providers.
- Maintain shipping records and ensure proper cost allocation and budgeting for logistics operations.
2. Technical Purchasing & Supply Chain Management
- Source, procure, and manage the supply of technological components, including high value and precision lidar scanners , camera systems, specialized spare parts and other IT and technical hardware.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, logistics partners, and service providers.
- support the back office manager with purchasing and technical aspects of the office operations (Klima, meeting room display, etc...)
3. Inventory Management
- Establish and maintain an organized inventory system for all technical equipment including accessories and spare parts.
- Conduct periodic stock counts and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Ensure proper storage conditions for sensitive or high-value equipment.
4. Technology Support & Procurement
- Collaborate with Technology and other teams to identify and procure new components, tools, and equipment required for innovation projects around our Lidar and camera technology.
- Provide support in prototype development by sourcing experimental parts and materials.
5. Process Improvement & other tasks
- Develop and optimize procurement, logistics, and inventory processes to improve operational efficiency, maintaining compliance and ownership.
- Hands on support to the Budapest office team with office related tasks.
Your Profile:
- Logistics Expertise: Deep understanding of international shipping practices, ATA Carnet processes, and customs clearance.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with high-value technical equipment, including lidar scanners, computer hardware, and spare parts, affinity to learn.
- Supply Chain expertise and Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers and service providers.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to address logistical challenges and implement process improvements.
- Inventory Management: Proficiency in stock control systems and inventory planning.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in preparing shipping documentation, tracking stock, and managing shipments.
- Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams.
- Proactive Mindset: Demonstrates a "can-do" attitude with a willingness to take initiative and tackle challenges head-on.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Fluent and confident English knowledge (both written and verbally)
- 3-5 years of experience in logistics, technical purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Experience managing international shipments under ATA Carnet is highly desirable.
