The role:

We are looking for a Presales support engineer to join our Budapest team.

Projects at greehill are commercial activities aiming at data capture of urban trees using MLS and TLS LiDAR as well as high resolution image technologies in various regions of the world. Captured raw data is transferred to the processing centre in Budapest and processed through various stages to extract the relevant tree-related data and specific images which are finally presented to the clients through the greehill Web Platform. Our main clients are municipalities all over the world.

Greehill scanning projects are complex undertakings where important information needs to be aligned with the client in the presales phase, before final contracts are signed and operational fieldwork starts. Such information includes the characteristics of area to be assessed, technologies to be applied, specific information items requested by the client and technical information to be supplied by the client. This typically consists of GIS data, greehill platform features and client infrastructure inventory data.

As a Presales Support Engineer, you will work closely with the Business Development teams on various continents, assisting them in assessing the client's needs, reviewing the proposed project scope in light of greehill technologies, verifying the quality and completeness of the information provided by the client, and providing input for the scoping of the project.

Presales support engineer responsibilities:

• As a member of the Budapest production unit, you act as a bridge between the production team and sales. You support the sales teams in gathering and analyzing client information and in scoping proposals and projects. At the same time, you make sure projects are suitable for our data capture technologies (MLS, TLS, Imaging) and processing pipeline.
• You support the sales team in collecting necessary inputs, typically GIS information from the client. You assess the technical formats and quality of the client provided information and align additional data requests.
• You provide time and effort estimates for scanning and processing.

Your profile:

• You have expertise in GIS data management.
• You have experience in technical project scoping and execution, preferably in LiDAR and imaging technologies.
• You can work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• You are fluent in English.
• You have excellent communication skills with internal and external clients.
• You have a “can do” mentality.
